The workshops promise to be fun, inspiring and inclusive. The aim is that the children are just as participatory as the facilitator. The workshops will involve a mixture of activities that will require the children to work as a whole class, in groups or pairs.
I want whatever they’ve got,
I always say silently to myself. So, one day, I decided to go and see Mrs Picklesworth and knock on her door. It’s not too far from here, I’ll take you. Come on, this way...
For the introductory workshop, Wonderfell will come in and lead the ‘Tales from Feeling Street’ workshop for the day.
Through this imagination journey, the children will explore emotions and feelings. We feel this is a vital opportunity to promote positive mental and emotional well-being in each child.
This 45 minute workshop allows pupils to get to know the Wonderfell facilitator, have the space to express themselves freely and also to recognise ‘we are all feeling something, all of the time.’ It promises to be fun, creative and full of spirit! The session will accommodate up to 15 children and, therefore, it is assumed the workshop will be delivered twice per year group.

Mildred Trotter loves books. She reads tale upon tale, fact or fiction -it doesn’t matter. She just loves books! She often goes outside to read in her favourite place, under a tree – an enchanting little spot. Who ever would have thought the book she loves the most would lead to a new story adventure…
The children will listen to and participate in three interactive folk stories. This will run for 30 minutes. Then half of the group will ‘make and create’ in a fun, puppet making craft session, based on some of the characters we meet in the stories. The other half of the group will learn a song together, using makaton. Groups will then swap over. We finish by singing the song altogether, using their lovely puppets they’ve made. This part of the workshop will run for 30 mins.
This is a lovely celebration of summer and being outdoors. We celebrate togetherness, creativity, laughter, the seasons, nature and stories with morals to promote well-being.
This is an outdoor performance and, therefore, will mostly be performed in the spring/summer term. Weather permitting, we can perform this in September too.
There was one such story I remember well- called ‘The Loneling’s Flight’- I loved that one the most...
This workshop explores the meaning of belonging and is an invitation for children to appreciate inclusion, diversity and togetherness in a deeper way. The children will discover an ancient tale packed up into an old, wandering case-the tale of a ‘loneling’, in search of a kind friend...
Loneling: A mythical creature. Remains invisible but is always wandering, on the wings of a samara, in search of a place to belong.
Following the success of a commission in April 2023 by Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Arts Council England, Wonderfell are now offering this high-energy, fun and interactive 2-hour workshop for schools to enjoy.
Created for children in KS2, it gives an overview of 'The Tempest' via an installation, mark-making, costumes, music, character exploration and an exciting insight into Shakespearean text...
Will you come along in the search for Joy? The ‘Guardians of the Garden’ will lead you in your quest to find her…
Joy is journeying...and so is her garden! She’s been hibernating for some time but the long winter is fading and brighter days are coming with the spring. The garden has a power of its own that, when found, will invite you to see, hear, smell and feel your own joy within.
This 1 hour experience for EYFS/KS1 comprises of a story about hope, followed by crafting and play. This is a lovely celebration of the changing of seasons, of promoting emotional well-being and giving children an opportunity to find their own awe and joy through imaginative play.
A two hour interactive training session developing creative practice through drama and storytelling.
We also offer a "Legacy Lab" post-CPD consultation with staff to evaluate impact and implementation of tools and training which were covered in the CPD session.
Throughout the workshops, children will learn new skills and have an open doorway to share their own interests and talents. This reinforces Ofsted's goal for each individual to develop their character and personal growth– including building their resilience, confidence and independence. Helping them to identify how they can keep physically and mentally healthy is an essiential thread woven in and throughout the work of Wonderfell.
Each Wonderfell workshop is bespoke, to meet the needs of your school and specific cohorts. They range from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Contact us below and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
